The Alive Cadets age ministry group is from 8 to 13 years old. Our Youth Ministry Group also has a Sunday School Group from 4 to 12 years old (Alive Kingdom Kids) and the ZCD Youth Group (Zion City Dwellers) from 13 to 18 years old (The young adults continue as part of the ZCD Leadership Team after that). All groups have a Face Book page if you need further information.

A CHRISTIAN BASED YOUTH GROUP
In terms of our vision we are more than just a youth or social age group and we base our activities around the Christian theme.Alongside the fun sport and play activities; we also have Bible based activities, stories, discussions, team points and competitions, learning memory verses, skits, plays, arts and craft, singing, prayer, praise, worship etc.
 

We also have an individual point’s competition over the year which culminates in a junior award (8-10 yrs) and a senior award (The Cadet Crusader Shield –11-13 yrs). These awards recognise the boy and girl in each group, that have made the greatest achievement over the year.
The points awards can be achieved through regular attendance, reciting weekly memory verses, bringing friends along, completing our Cadet Crusader Journals, Ribbons, Colours and Special Awards.
Points are also achieved through good conduct, attitude, behaviour, courage, self-management, and leadership, teamwork, helping and caring for others.
 
During the summer terms we will be out and about, so keep tabs on our calendar and contact us if you need more information.
You are more than welcome to stay during our events so you can get a better understanding of our program. We also require volunteers and supporters if you are available to help.

OUR HISTORY

Alive Cadets (Formerly Cadet Crusaders) began about 1975 (Yes over 40 years!) and a few of the first recruits are still actively associated and support this group. Hundreds of children from the Tairawhiti area have been a part of this group over the years.Cadets is still going strong today and that strength has been based firstly upon our leadership team vision for the youth to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.The second foundation is around the children and their family/whanau capturing, supporting and creating the environment for this vision to continue and flourish.

Alive Cadets is part of the new Alive Church (Formerly the Christian Life Crusade Church (CLC) Gisborne, Youth Ministry Group).

The Christian Life Crusade Church (Full Pentecostal) has been operating in Gisborne for almost 70 years (c.1949) and as of this year was renamed to
